Community. Great food. Cycling. To combine these three things was the ultimate dream for food and bike loving Spaniard Ángel Layos. A dream of a place where to take care of hunger and thirst, brakes and gears. A dream of a place, where the sense of community and love for food among cyclists could be experienced by everybody. In the spring of 2022 Layos gathered a team of professionals and made the dream come true. Combining a bikeshop and a restaurant, first of its kind in Finland, Peloton Cycling Eatery was opened in Suvilahti. Peloton Cycling Eatery is passionate about offering services for cyclists and foodies. Under the same roof one can find bike services run by the English gentleman Sam Stanfield and delicious food made by the very Finnish head chef Miiro Tähti and his team. The sense of community and friendly atmosphere is served by the restaurant manager Joonas Heino together with event producer Maria Niemelä. The founder, also known as “El Patron”, can be found serving great coffees and wines or bleeding brakes in the workshop.
