The aqueduct is, as far as it is known, the only one in Denmark. It was constructed in 1950 when a former bank of earth and a wooden box were washed away during a tremendous storm in 1949. It takes the Dalgas Canal over the brook that is running a few metres down. The aqueduct or “the box”, as it is called, was earlier a place for the children of the village to bathe in the summer time.
