Located in the heart of Lugano's business district, inlingua Lugano celebrates its tenth anniversary this year as a prestigious language center. We offer equipped classrooms and conduct activities at our clients' premises. Our team consists of qualified consultants and native-speaking trainers from five continents, ready to meet any educational requirement. inlingua Lugano is part of a global network with 320 centers in 37 countries, with headquarters, pedagogical management, and editorial center in Bern, Switzerland. Founded in 1968, inlingua Internationale Sprachschulen A.G. is today a leader in corporate language consulting and training. We offer courses in 14 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Greek, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Swedish, Dutch, Croatian, and Japanese. Specific Programs for Every Need Our educational research center has developed specific programs for every requirement, all equipped with exclusive teaching materials (texts, audio supports, multimedia tools, etc.). Our courses include: - Individual and group language courses for private individuals and companies in traditional classrooms and WebRoom/Virtual Classroom. Intensive or extensive frequency with flexible scheduling, from 2 to 5 meetings per week. Customized study programs based on participants' needs, in small homogeneous groups by initial level and learning requirements. Contents and Programs - General Purpose Programme: A program for general language proficiency, ideal for students or travelers. - Accelerated Professional Programme: A professional program for acquiring sector-specific languages, aimed at professionals and companies. - Business English Seminars: Part of the Accelerated Professional Programme, focusing on professional vocabulary and essential operational skills in various business areas such as meetings, negotiations, presentations, and more. Courses for Children and Private Groups - inlingua DOTS/Juniors/Teens: Children begin learning English from the age of 1 with age-appropriate educational materials. We continue with programs for Junior and Teen. - Recovery Courses for Children and Adolescents: During the summer months, we organize recovery courses for German, English, and French languages to consolidate school-acquired skills. Hybrid Classroom - Hybrid Classroom Courses: Lessons combining classroom teaching with online sessions, allowing greater flexibility for participants. Preparation for International Exams We prepare for major international exams such as Trinity, University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations, RSA, TOEFL, BEC, TOEIC, TOLES, GMAT, DELF-DALF, DELE, ZD, ZMP, ZOP, KDS, CELI. CELI Examination Center inlingua Lugano is now accredited as a CELI examination center by the University for Foreigners of Perugia for all levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. Translations and Interpreting We provide precise and punctual translation and interpreting services to and from all languages. The inlingua Method The direct method allows immediate use of communication structures and functions in the language being studied, excluding translation and minimizing theoretical explanation. The teaching is oriented towards situational conversation, with role plays and simulations to provide operational skills. Qualification of Teaching Staff Our native-speaking teachers are qualified and motivated, trained with inlingua Teacher’s Training to teach without translation, ensuring optimal classroom management. Educational Planning and Levels Planning is based on the six levels of the Common European Framework (CEF), with regular progress checks to monitor advancements. At the end of the course, an inlingua certificate is issued.
