The Turkey Point Hotel is the original Turkey Point joint. The bar-side tales of this legendary Norfolk County establishment go back for generations. Before the business was purchased by the Assel family in 1961 the surrounding area of Long Point was deemed a dry county. After lobbying the local government, the Assel's were able crush the last remaining vestige of prohibition, obtain a liquor license and they have never stopped partying since.
