We are located in a quiet residential area within a short walking distance to the downtown business core, the picturesque St. John's harbour, and historic Water Street, full of tourist shops, adorable boutiques, a variety of delicious restaurant options and famous George Street with its colourful collection of pubs & bars If you're looking to experience some of St. John's natural wonder, we highly recommend that you take a trip over to Signal Hill National Historic Site with it's winding trails around the coast with breath-taking ocean views, (walkable from our front door, if you are an avid walker/hiker), Quidi Vidi village or take a boat tour to see the whales and puffins! Enjoy a luxurious stay in one of our newly renovated suites, with the comforts of modern life mixed with the antiques and traditions of days gone by. Our guest rooms include a hot, hearty breakfast and afternoon tea, free on street parking, private en-suites, free fast wifi, cozy bathrobes and linens, remote controlled A/C, work station, Smart TV, Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge, electric fireplace and many other amenities. We are excited to welcome you to our home! We live on the premises and aim to provide you with a personable, welcoming, true Newfoundland experience, consisting of down-home hospitality, good food and new friends to last a lifetime! Included in the cost of your stay is a hot, hearty, full breakfast served daily from 7:30-10:00am in our dining room or out on our charming garden patio (weather permitting) and Afternoon Tea! Breakfast... consists of a hot plate, along with a variety of continental items, such as: fresh-squeezed (in-house) orange juice, cereals, fruit, yogurt, variety of homemade scones, tea biscuits, pumpkin loafs... to name a few. You may decide to choose a protein shake instead of a cooked breakfast or a fresh cold pressed juice full of micro nutrients, vitamins and minerals! We try to cater to all dietary restrictions such as keto, vegetarian, dairy free, gluten free, etc, please let us know your preference ahead of your stay and we will do our best to accommodate! Afternoon Tea...after a long day exploring our beautiful island come back to The Rock’s Signal Bed and Breakfast, relax and enjoy Afternoon Tea, served daily from 3:00-5:00pm, where we offer coffee, tea and homemade (in-house from scratch) goodies! You are invited to make yourself comfortable and feel at home in our shared living room, consisting of a cozy sitting area with fireplace and games corner, and our dining area which has 24hr tea, coffee and microwave available. You may also enjoy our garden, with a cozy sitting area under the gazebo with a little romantic lighting.. and the firepit for your enjoyment and relaxation.
