The W. H. Steeves House Museum is a historic house that began as a one room cabin built in 1812. The house expanded to its current size in 1840 and is now period decorated to the 1860s. The Museum tells the story of William Henry Steeves, a Father of Confederation who was born in the house in 1814. The Museum also presents the history of the Steeves family and the local area of Hillsborough and Albert County. Learn about the journey of German immigrants, the Acadians, Confederation, local discoveries and industry, interesting artifacts, and more! Join us for a tour today!
