Kaatza Station Museum

The Kaatza Station Museum and Archives, managed by the Kaatza Historical Society, is located in the original Canadian Pacific train station built in Lake Cowichan in 1913. The museum aims to preserve and interpret the rich history of the Cowichan Lake region, highlighting the impact of the forest industry and the diverse ethnic communities that contributed to its development.

In addition to a variety of exhibits and displays, the museum grounds feature logging equipment and rolling stock, including a Shay steam locomotive and restored school structures. The Kaatza Station Museum continues to evolve, with plans for additional displays to further showcase the area's heritage, in partnership with the Tsuubaa-asatx Nation.
