Gift Lake Metis Settlement

Gift Lake Metis Settlement is a community in Northern Alberta, home to a population of 658 individuals, with 589 settlement members residing either on or off the settlement. Situated along Highway 750 and around 90 kilometers north of High Prairie, it encompasses a metis land base area of 84,307 hectares, making it one of the eight legislated metis land bases and governments established in Northern Alberta.

The settlement offers a variety of local amenities, including a gas and convenience store, as well as opportunities for fishing and camping at the picturesque Little Utikuma Lake. Residents and visitors can also enjoy outdoor activities such as a skate park, skating rink, baseball diamonds, and more, enhancing the community's recreational offerings.
