MapQuest Route Planner!

MapQuest's Route Planner helps determine the shortest and fastest driving routes in the US and Canada so you can finally put some order in your life!

All you need to do is:

  1. Add your stops using one of the 3 tabs to the left.
  2. Select an "Optimized Option" based on time or distance.
  3. Get Directions.

It's that easy - give it a try and see how MapQuest Route Planner can help you make the most of your time by providing you with an optimized route.

Directions are what we do!

Line by Line

For each entry (only US and Canada addresses), simply enter as much as you know for each stop in your route, including Address, Intersection, City, State, and/or ZIP Code. You can also add Notes for each stop, like "deliver yellow roses" or "pick up Beth".

Click Add Stop for additional entry fields (up to 26 stops).

After you have entered your stops, you can select the following:

  • Make this a Round Trip
  • Optimization Options - Choose from one of the three options.
  • Avoid Options - Choose any roads that you want to exclude from your route.

Copy & Paste Area

You can simply copy and paste addresses or type each address in individually. Enter as much as you know for each stop in your route, including Address, Intersection, City, State, and/or ZIP code. Make sure to include only one address or location on each line.

After you have entered your stops, you can select the following:

  • Make this a Round Trip
  • Optimization Options - Choose from one of the three options.
  • Avoid Options - Choose any roads that you want to exclude from your route.

Note: You can only use addresses that are in the US and Canada.

Import Spreadsheet

Refer to How to Format Your Route Planner File for instructions on how to create an address file that you can upload.

Click Browse to choose the file you would like to upload (file size needs to be under 100 KB). Click Upload. The addresses from your uploaded file appear on the Line by Line tab.

Note: You can only use addresses that are in the US and Canada.
